Our mission

We aim to improve the lives of those suffering from OCD & related disorders

As clinical psychologists with a special interest in the field of OCD, we do this by providing excellence in psychological treatment and patient care, based on our extensive experience, training and research. We also contribute to international OCD research and aim to improve awareness and access to advanced OCD training for mental health professionals.

We’re here to help

Treatment Services

The Perth OCD Clinic provides assessments and individual clinical psychology treatment for a range of obsessive-compulsive-related issues.

In addition to working in the field of OCD, our team has considerable experience in working with adults, adolescents, children, and families across a broad range of psychological issues.

Treatment services include:

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (all subtypes)
  • Clinical perfectionism
  • Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs)
  • Trichotillomania (hair pulling)
  • Dermatillomania/excoriation disorder (skin picking)
  • Treatment-resistant OCD

Delivering excellence in

Evidence-based treatments

Our clinic delivers evidence-based treatment for OCD, as well as other co-occurring psychological conditions. We help both OCD sufferers and their families get the help they deserve.

In order to provide a vital, centralised service for the WA OCD community, we have brought together Perth’s first dedicated team of highly experienced, independently practising clinical psychologists.

Our team regularly works alongside Perth’s leading consultant psychiatrists and general practitioners, to facilitate a multidisciplinary treatment approach.

Ongoing professional development

Training, supervision and
OCD workshops

All of our clinical psychologists attend ongoing professional development workshops that focus on different subtypes and areas unique to OCD. In addition to their ongoing training, each clinician has a wide range of experience and training in other psychological areas. This ensures that we’re able to match each client’s unique experience of OCD with the most appropriate clinical psychologist.

At Perth OCD Clinic, we also provide advanced training to other mental health care professionals in the assessment and treatment of OCD and related disorders.

Perth and beyond

Advancing international
OCD research

In addition to helping OCD sufferers here in Perth, we aim to advance the treatment and research of OCD internationally. We collaborate on research projects with the Yale OCD Research Clinic, focusing on the development, testing and publication of supplementary psychological strategies for treatment-resistant OCD.

Dr Maloney has published OCD research in peer-reviewed journals and presented research at national and international OCD conferences and symposiums.
